Yes ok so we had a couple more
Jumbo Breakfasts. We noticed a large multistorey market building next door and
had a wander through there. A whole floor of fishy stuff and upstairs had dried
fruit and veg etc with a food hall upstairs. Back downstairs we found a
stainless steel outdoor geriatric tai chi exercise park with structures to lean
on for stretching and wheels to turn for exercise.
We packed and moved out at 12 –
well hardly a move we just sat in reception and used the wifi. I collected some
more delicious bits from the bakery and J chatted with work colleagues and
looked at some details of proposed restructuring.
We trained out to the airport and
caught the Air Asia flight to Penang. J got bushwhacked by 2 young Aussie
brothers (aged 4 & 6) while their parents took a welcome breather (go Alex and Olly). The
flight was barely half full, as has been the case on most of our recent flights
with them, and we had a smooth flight to Penang.
We landed at about 11.30 and caught
a taxi just before the witching hour when prices double. We had sketched a map
around our hostel and were able to direct the driver. The hostel is very nice
and we have a big hard bed in a big room with good AC – just no private bath.
What do you expect for $23 a night? It
was late but we got sucked into watching LA Confidential until about 2.
