Another awful night. Yvonne kept up a singlehanded roar spaced with short intervals of silence that only seemed to hang heavily with anticipation of what was to follow. I was up from 5am and could not believe that anybody else slept at all. Kevin is back again so now I am short of a bed.
After breakfast we headed off to conquer the Martial Glacier. A 7km walk to the chairlift, mostly uphill, then a further 90 minute walk up the valley to the glacier itself.

We got to the chairlift just fine, sat for lunch in a café. Then Chris began to feel very unwell so we walked the 7km back to the hostel where he spent most of the afternoon snoozing.

Had an info session with Sam about the next few days activities. Early to bed ready for an early start tomorrow.
