13/3 Farewell Oasis

Shouldn´t have gone back to that Israeli restaurant again - C beset with the bug again. Went down to wave the troops off and successfully passed on the excess baggage. Danny took off with pink knickers on his head. Some 10 minutes after the last taxi left (and 35 minutes after advertised departure) Leslie turned up!!! (The Oasis trainee tour leader) We told her they had all gone and she thought we were joking. Told her to phone Sam pretty quick, then she discovered her phone "had reset the time". Apparently Scott (her husband)had missed his plane to Buenos Aires by a day the day before (we could have told him that) which cost them a packet to re-book. A bit worrying that Sam headed off without her - hope she caught them before they left La Paz.

We had a day of chores, all of which we accomplished. ATM, new cargo pants, bus ticket for tomorrow, blog, catch up with daughters and babies, chemist for fresh set of pills. Neither of us bothered to eat much and we fell abed before 10. Still not sleeping well up here. We never made it to San Pedro jail in La Paz - scene of the notorious Marching Powder book (apparently factual) about the hive of industry within the jail, including the factory which produces the best cocaine in Bolivia.
