4\3 Salta Town

Something of an anticlimax after yesterday. Moved into the Municipal camp site which took a few hours of driving around the lake. Long stint at shopping centre trying to get Luke´s card out of the ATM which reset itself - Sunday of course.  The largest swimming pool you are ever likely to see. Quite shallow mostly but hundreds of metres of it. Only open a couple of months a year (not now). Waiting for the horseriders to get back then we took bus into town for a look around.
Our tents around the empty pool

Just look at the size of it

Beuatiful Cathedral on the main plaza

Met Sam and most of the others in the main square at 7pm then walked to their favourite restaurant (which opens at 8.30). That was too late for us so we ate at the local cheap and cheerful burger shop over the road and were back at camp before they would have started eating.
Interesting tree right outside the burger bar

It rained all night. We had to get up and peg the fly sheet. Disco ¨music¨ still thumping away over the road at 6.30 next morning. J taking antihistamines for bites received at the rafting place - everyone scratching and blotchy.
