Thursday 17 November Corfu again
Just another day on a perfect Greek Island (sigh). J took the half day tour while C worked on the body beautiful, posted the blog and skyped home. Lunch was a cold seafood spectacular which was very tasty and varied. No snow capped mountains today but a gorgeous sweeping view of the bay at Corfu and the mainland behind. This really is an extraordinary experience. At home, we would rave about enjoying a lunch like this.

We scored quite low in the afternoon quiz and were surprised to win. In the evening we surged home 3 clear of the pack. Our best performance as a team, making a few tough choices and getting them all right. Stephie was back for dinner but not fully well yet. We had been curious and were interested to learn that they had been together 18 years, which would have made them 28/59.
Costa Victoria drew up next to us (Queen Victoria) during the day and when we sailed out at 5.30 there was a raucous exchange of salutations from the ships’ foghorns. Their full bridge turned out to watch – this certainly is a ship that draws attention. We turned north into the narrow strait next to mainland Greece, which shortly afterwards gave way to Albania. We enjoyed a grand view from our balcony as the lights slowly faded and fell away. Having said that, the cool weather has not really given us the opportunity to enjoy as much use as we expected from the balcony. That and the hectic trivia schedule. Today we cleared the Grand Slam – winning all 4 trivia sessions.
